Tim Whipple is a global executive with deep experience in central and eastern Europe. He is the former CEO of Witt O’Brien’s, a leader in crisis and emergency management. Under Tim’s leadership, the company helped governments and companies to manage a wide range of natural and manmade disasters, from avian flu, multiple hurricanes and COVID-19 to oil spills, wildfires and the vessel grounding in the Suez Canal. He also served as president of Kroll, a specialist in corporate investigations, due diligence screening, cyber security and compliance. Kroll’s global coverage included support for anti-corruption initiatives in Ukraine. Earlier in his career he was based in Prague, working throughout central Europe for over 13 years. He is the author of After the Velvet Revolution (Freedom House, 1990), a review of post-communist politics and economics, and holds an MA in Slavic Studies.
